Royal Visit - HRH Princess Alexandra
To commemorate the visit to the Cayman Islands of her Royal Highness Princess Alexandra, The Cayman Islands Currency Board issued a $5 silver and $250 gold coin.
The obverse of both coins depicts Raphael Maklouf's portrait of Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth II, with the inscription "CAYMAN ISLANDS ELIZABETH II and the denominational value.
The reverse of each coin features the Armorial Bearings of HRH Princess Alexandra, with a commemorative inscription.
Only 150 gold Proof coin and 5,000 silver Proof coins were struck for worldwide issue.
