Reinsurance Company Engaging in Business Without Proper Authorisation

(Grand Cayman, Thursday, 20 May 2010) It has come to the attention of the Cayman Islands Monetary Authority (the “Authority”) that JPJ Reinsurance Company SPC (“JPJ”), a holder of an Unrestricted Class “B” Licence granted on 14 February 2007, has been engaging in insurance business without proper authorization from the Authority as per the Insurance Law (2008 Revision).

Please be advised that at the time of this notice, JPJ is not authorized to conduct insurance business, provide reinsurance or issue financial instruments in any capacity.
