Head - Project Management Office
Mr. Kioko Nzoka Muasya was appointed as Head of the Project Management Office at the Cayman Islands Monetary Authority ("CIMA") on 2 January 2025.
He brings over 20 years of experience across multiple industries and jurisdictions, including financial services, public service, private equity, and real estate. Prior to this appointment, Mr. Muasya served as Deputy Head of Internal Audit at CIMA, where he helped establish the internal audit function.
He has also held various roles at Dart Cayman, the Cayman Islands Government, KPMG, Ernst & Young, and served as a director in an Africa-focused private equity firm with interests in energy, real estate, and hospitality – leading the real estate and hospitality business units.
In his current role, Mr. Muasya is responsible for overseeing CIMA’s project portfolio, driving strategically important initiatives forward, developing project governance frameworks, and supporting CIMA’s change agenda.
Mr. Muasya holds a master’s degree from the University of Cambridge and a Bachelor’s Degree in Commerce (Finance) from the University of Nairobi. He is a Certified Public Accountant and a Certified Internal Auditor, with additional specialised training in project management methodologies, data analytics, and governance among others.
He is a founding member, former president and board member of the Institute of Internal Auditors Cayman Islands Chapter and actively supports local charitable organisations, including Boys to Men Cayman.
