IT Support Assistant


Reporting to the Chief Customer Support Manager, the IT Support Assistant is responsible for providing support services to ensure effective and efficient technological operations of the Division and CIMA.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

The successful candidate will: 
• Assist the Network Administrator in responding to all end user issues;
• Provide first contact support of incoming requests to the service desk via telephone, web portal, email, and chat to ensure courteous, timely, and effective resolution of end-user issues;
• Contribute to ensuring that the Helpdesk systems and software are kept up to date and messages are passed on and feedback received promptly;
• Maintain the existing PCs and peripherals to agreed standards by performing upgrades, new installations and carrying out routine procedures;
• Install and configure operating systems and software to agreed standards;
• Maintain printers and ensure adequate toner inventory;
• Organize and maintain all records and documents in an efficient filing system;
• Perform all necessary administrative services ensuring proper functioning of the Division; and
• Develop help sheets and FAQ lists for end users and contribute to the technical knowledgebase as needed.

REQUIREMENTS:

• A High School Diploma with passes in Computer Science or Information Technology.
• Knowledge of technological administrative procedures;
• Basic knowledge of computer/network systems and associated peripherals;  
• Basic knowledge of programming concepts;
• Proficiency in Microsoft 365 applications; and
• Excellent organizational skills to efficiently accomplish straightforward tasks.
